30th December 2004 Windsurfing: Portland Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 12knts Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 11 Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Great last day to the year, thought it was going to be stonger winds than it was.Rigged up the 8.0 and took the Stoke out with the monster fin. It goes like stink! Easily the fastest person on the water, although I struggled to get going as fast as some others who were on 9.0m sails and 160ltr board. Had fun gaining huge amounts of ground upwind, then as the wind dropped either end of the reach, shooting downwind and planning much further on than most others on the water. Had a great day, although I did put a hole in the Heckler. A brilliantway to end the year, sailing in bright sunshine |
